„„The good of today are the best of tomorrow““ I use spruce from Latemar/South Tyrol, up to 300 years of age, cut by myself personally around the Christmas period and during a waning moon. It produces an especially good tonal quality. For the back I use old Bosnian maple with beautiful grain patterns. I have had 35 years of experience as a violin maker and have built more than 250 instruments. Both my intuition and mood flow into my work. The exchange with musicians and colleagues is an inherent part of my working concept. These are the main pillars of my making: Tone, carrying power, playability, brilliance of colours are constantly being refined. Details are being seen, listened to, improved. The sound is being checked in small rooms as well as concert halls. Result: the new instrument becomes a reliable friend to the musician.
